Jennifer Surprenant's Overview

At the young age of fourteen, a freshman in high school, I became a mother to a beautiful baby boy. Everyone kept telling me I was ruining my life. I had to prove to both myself and others that they were wrong. Although it was very difficult I managed balancing a part time job, school, and the responsibilities that come with being a single mother. In June of 1997 I graduated in the top tenth percent of my class.
